Chin Check - 341 (UFC Fight Night 282)
The Octagon is picking up more air miles, as we go from Oklahoma, all the way to Abu Dhabi. We have a 'Fight Night' that is all about opportunity. On Saturday night, any of these 26 fighters can elevate themselves into the peoples consciousness with an exceptional performance or an extraordinary finish that lights up the 'Etihad Arena'.
We have two fighters returning from long-term injury, the 'Argentine Dagger', Santiago Ponzinibbio, and 'The Prodigy', Wellington Turman. They're facing two tough opponents though, in Sam Patterson and Islam Dulatov. There are also six fighters making their debuts on the card. Abdul Hussein, Magomed Tuchalov, Muhammad Said, Abubakar Vagaev, and also Magomed Zaynukov vs Damian Rzepecki who are facing each other. On top of all of this, there are several who are a fight away from the possibility of having to find a new fight home.
So although this might not be a card stacked with superstars, with so much possibility ready to be seized..... After a 'Numbered Event' with a record number of finishes, and a 'Main card' where nothing went past the 1st round, where do you go from there? Well, Oklahoma City of course, and the Paycom Center to be precise for a 'Fight Night' featuring a clash of former champions!
We have five fighters making their debuts in the octagon, and the 'Main card' features the potential next generation of stars ready to make statements that will drown out recent events! One such bout being, Tabatha Ricci vs Fatima Kline. With the Strawweight strap being contested at 'UFC 330', both women will want to show that they could be next! The anticipation was so high, and even though the end wasn’t what we hoped, ‘International Fight Week 2026’ ended with a fantastic ‘Numbered Event’, that had more bang then anyone could have hoped for!
Although only one of our debuting fighters walked away with a win, John Garza still showed a whole lot of talent, and made it clear, he won't be an easy match for anyone. Then there's Gable Steveson, who definitely lived up to the hype and expectations! With so many finishes on the night, it just felt right that King Green got to walk away with an extra bag! So many fighters have stacked a claim for that next step, Farid Basharat, Brandon Royval, and Mario Bautista all could headline 'Fight Nights' going forward, along with Green!
The BIG winner of the night is undoubtedly Paddy Pimblett, who not only bounced back from his first loss in the promotion, but also let it be known, if you don't respect the skills, see how unconsciousness feels! Cause when ‘The Notorious’ steps into the cage Saturday night, he’s not thinking ring rust, he’s mind is set on destruction! However, he’s not facing a fresh faced rookie, the ‘Blessed’ is also one of the greatest to ever do it, and he’s not looking to playing the part of a sacrilegious lamb!
This is an outstanding match-up, BUT, the card has EVEN more intrigue to it! We have two debuts, one of which is for a fighter who could go on to reshape the face of the ‘Heavyweight’ division. There’s a former champion moving up a weight class to a stiff opening test. A beloved vet opening the ‘Main card’ looking to show, the dog still got bark! Championship aspirations at Flyweight, and a rematch at Bantamweight that could solidify a title shot. PLUS, a ‘Co-main’ that could have headlined a ‘Fight Night’ and will most definitely give us a title challenger!!!!

As the octagon makes its second trip to Azerbaijan, the UFC is looking to deliver yet another thrilling night for fight fans, similar to last week at the Meta Apex. Taking place at the renowned National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, this event is positioned to shine the light on more up-and-coming, potential stars!
The night is anchored by two great fights, in our 'Co-main' Sharabutdin Magomedov vs Michel Pereira and 'Headliner' Rafael Fiziev vs Manuel Torres. But the 'Main card' alone is spicy, as Abusupiyan Magomedov vs Michał Oleksiejczuk start things off, and Nazim Sadykhov vs Matheus Camilo serve as the 'Featured bout'!

Some times its not about this side or that side, this belief or that one, its the occasion, the precedent of the situation. And Sunday night is the most of situations, it's HISTORY, the UFC on the White House south lawn will be in the annals like season one, The Ultimate Fighter Finale, UFC 100, UFC 200, UFC 300, UFC Sphere. This is a "where did you watch the card" moments.
So with all that, something different HAD to happen, right. And conversation is greatest when shared, so I sent out the CC Signal, and one of the kindest, most supportive people in the game through. Obviously, everyone is looking forward to UFC Freedom 250, right? But before we get to that, we have another Fight Night, and we have some great fights on deck! So we don't wanna sleep on this people!
From the 'Prelims', with fights like the debut of Jeisla Chaves against Yuneisy Duben, or seeing if Jordan Leavitt can continue his run at Featherweight as he challenges Joanderson Brito. The 'Main Card' opens with Iwo Baraniewski vs Junior Tafa, which has the potential for explosive action! Or seeing who can position themselves for that next step, as Farès Ziam vs Tom Nolan clash. And of course, we end the night with TWO extremely pivotal bouts, Brendan Allen vs Edmen Shahbazyan and Belal Muhammad vs Gabriel Bonfim. A loss will be a serious setback for someone's career!

After a dark week, the UFC is back, all the way from Macau, China. We get an interesting card at the Galaxy Arena, with some intriguing matchups people, and a sleeper card.
Mick Maynard and Sean Shelby, have done a great job, putting these interesting fights together. A former champion against a potential challenger in the main event. Then match-ups like Sergei Pavlovich against Tallison Teixeira in our 'Featured bout'. Or we have Kai Asakura who has a lot to prove, and Cameron Smotherman who wants to show he is not a one fight wonder. Jake Matthews against Carlston Harris, is also one hell of fight. AND, we have former One Championships Bantamweight champ, Xiong Jingnan, making her debut against Angela Hill.

Newark was a blast, and now the UFC is back home at the Meta Apex for another 'Fight Night' card. Maybe not as dazzling on paper, but after last week, standards have been set, bars have been raised, so everyone on Saturday night will be looking to make their claims.
There are fighters looking to keep their jobs, others trying to get a crack at ranked opposition, or title consideration. With all of this, Saturday's match-ups have a lot line, just at a different scale to last week! Four fighters also make their debut, Thomas Gantt, Artur Minev (fighting each other), Christian Edwards (Modestas Bukauskas) & Juan Díaz (Malcolm Wellmaker), no easy match-ups, just chances to be great.

The UFCs next 'Numbered Event' is coming at us Saturday night from the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey, and it is something f'sure! We have Khamzat Chimaev defending his belt for the first time against Sean Strickland. And that's just one of a stack of incredible match-ups!
One of those match-ups is another title fight. As Joshua Van is also making his first title defence against Tatsuro Taira. Man, this is one hell of a card. No debuts, we just got a murders row all the way through (essentially). In the second fight of the night, you have Baisangur Susurkaev going against Djorden Santos, then right after that Pat Sabatini against William Gomis, right into Roman Kopylov vs Marco Tulio, and that's just the 'Early Prelims'! The 'Prelims' proper opens with Jim Miller against Jared Gordon, then Grant Dawson against Mateusz Rębecki and Joel Álvarez vs Yaroslav Amosov! King Green vs Jeremy Stephens open the 'Main Card', followed by Sean Brady against Joaquin Buckley. Which could be a main event of a 'Fight Night', right? With Alexander Volkov against Waldo Cortes-Acosta fighting for a potential future title shot. And after everything Volkov has said recently, you know he's gonna want to show & prove!?!

It's not necessarily a card jammed with superstars, but there's a lot of up and coming talent here, and the matchmakers have put together a host of intriguing encounters! We have a couple of debuts and some fighters who really need to switch up their fortune. Which should (hopefully) lead to excitement from Dom Mar Fan vs Kody Steele to Marwan Rahiki vs Ollie Schmid

So the UFC is back home, back in Vegas, at the Meta Apex for another 'Fight Night'. We have a great card, anchored a former Bantamweight Champion and a surging young star! And before that, essentially the number one contender for the winner of the upcoming Women's Bantamweight belt, and a challenger on an impressive hot streak. Now, I think there's probably a lot on these fights, right?
If Norma Dumont wins, she's cemented her shot at the belt. BUT, if Joselyne Edwards wins, she could have next! There is obviously Mosar Evolve, BUT, maybe an impressive win gets Aljamain Sterling or Youssef Zalal a shot or a contender bout?!?

We got a vet against a prospect in the headline bout, as Mike Malott is going up against Gilbert Burns. The Co-main is fire too, as Kyler Phillips goes up against Charles Jourdain. There's several debuts too, with Mandel Nallo, Márcio Barbosa, Julien Leblanc, Gökhan Saricam, and Jamie Siraj. Plus a host of fighters on the bubble, so who's going to take the opportunity to shine!?!

DAMN, it's all done, the UFC took over Miami, and yo, what a great night, right, we had some incredible fights! It's the fourth numbered event of the year, and it was not a disappointment!!!
We lost fights leading up to the show, BUT, what we got, 12 lit fights....well, on the real, 11 great fights. Even though one was a stinker, the Headliner, DAMN, and Co-main were fire too. Yo, this was great, this was great, people!.

There's been a LOT of talk about the start of the Paramount Era and whether the cards have been legit. Regardless where you stand on this, there is NO question that any sensible Floridian will be hot stepping to Miami's Kaseya Center, cause the 'UFC' is coming in with fire this weekend!
We may have lost the Flyweight Title fight, but damn, this card is jam packed with name recognition fighters! I mean, the 'Prelims' could be a 'Main Card' anywhere else (especially Netflix)! Opening up with Tatiana Suarez vs Loopy Godinez, and topping with Patrício Pitbull vs Aaron Pico, damn!!! There are a LOT of questions too, can Cub Swanson bookend his career in that perfect way, can Pico reach the potential many have put on his shoulders, will Chris Padilla, MarQuel Mederos or Azamat Murzakanov be the next break out star, can Suarez, Dominick Reyes, and Paulo Costa get back to the title picture!?!
