Echoes From The Void!
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
To mark this most auspicious annual date, 'Echoes From The Void!' #EFTV is getting the 'AJ Treatment'!!!
That's right people, the ever great AJ Feuerman came through with something slightly different this time out. Instead of a movie, we're taking a look at a new TV pilot, AND sitting down with not only the creative mind behind, BUT he also stars in the show! We get the story of how it all came together, the hurdles faced, the choices behind casting and so much more. A REALLY great confab, that I'm sure you'll enjoy!!! More bitesize #EFTV coming at you, it would seem!!!
Apple TV+'s latest sci-fi series is coming to a close, So we have our overview of the last eight episodes (we looked at the first two here: https://www.podcaphilia.com/eftv/ep196) for you to digest, and see if you think it holds up to the award winning novella series.
'Murderbot' is written & directed by Chris Weitz & Paul Weitz, based on ‘The Murderbot Diaries’ by Martha Wells. A self-hacking security construct (Alexander Skarsgård) who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients (Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Tattiawna Jones, Akshay Khanna, Tamara Podemski). Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.
Here's our next bitesize edition of #EFTV!!!
Apple TV have adapted a true crime podcast, into a new 9 part drama series.
'Smoke' is directed by Kari Skogland & Joe Chappelle, and written by Dennis Lehane & Adriane McCray, based 'Firebug' by Truth Podcasting Corp. Tensions rise as the search for suspects begins. Michelle Calderone pumps the brakes on her personal life. Dave Gudsen gets creative.
We’re dropping the first (of probably many) of our bitesize editions of 'Echoes From The Void!' #EFTV!!!
We have a new Apple TV sci-fi show, which adapts an award winning novella series.
'Murderbot' is written & directed by Chris Weitz & Paul Weitz, based on the ‘The Murderbot Diaries’ by Martha Wells. Security android, aka SecUnit (Alexander Skarsgård), has just gotten free will, and also a new assignment looking after the PreservationAux team (Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Tattiawna Jones, Akshay Khanna, Tamara Podemski) as they set out to survey a new planet.
Hitting a landmark is always special, and I honestly couldn't think of a better way to hit 'Echoes From The Void!' #EFTV '200th' episode than to step into a brand new universe!!!
The incredible Cynthia Amsden is to thank for bringing the world of 'Crestar & The Knight Stallion' to bare, and what a world this is! Being hailed as the world’s first Arab and South Asian superhero duo, it's more than that. This feels like something fresh, something that can (and has) grab the attention of the masses. But like 'Black Panther', it will obviously speak to the Arab and South Asian community, but also everyone else who love great storytelling and interesting characters! SOOOOO, having the chance to sit down with the men behind this groundswell, and the unique way it all started, was a pure delight. Hilarity was had from minute one, and we honestly could have gone longer than the 97 minutes we had at hand! If the passion doesn't convince you, and trailers don't have you wanting more, than the artwork has to be the thing that gets you locked on this brand new rollercoaster of a ride!!!
