@EchoChamberFP this week takes a looking at three films, a political documentary, a dystopian anthology, and a drama that shines the light on the foster system!
We start things off with Ben Rekhi's 'The Reunited States', a feature documentary that follows David & Erin Leaverton as they visited all 50 states, meeting different people along the way, like Steven Olikara & Susan Bro, and trying to find the connecting factor between the political divide. Depolarising the tension that had mounted up and trying to implement a human factor into the way things are done and viewed.
Chino Moya first feature film, 'Undergod' is making its UK Premiere at the 'Glasgow Film Festival'. It's a futuristic, post-apocalyptic anthology of three core films that take place in a dystopian Europe and show the perils of letting strangers into your home & life. And shines the light on relationships, the importance of making them real, solid, and embed with love, rather than convenience!
We end with Youssef Delara's new film, 'Foster Boy'. Which is about a case Jamal Randolph (Shane Paul McGhie) brings against a for-profit Foster care agency, after it put a known sex offender into the foster home he was in. Michael Trainer (Matthew Modine) is the lawyer who reluctantly takes Jamal's case, but comes to realise some cases need to be fought for and not all people behind bars are thugs!
