Thanks to Alya Stationwala at Route 504 PR, we get to check out a new indie feature, that attempts to give us an insight into the angst of a young girl navigating the perils of teen hood whilst getting to grips with her Synesthesia! THEN, we sit down with the writer / director of the joint, and her lead actress to talk about the experience of bring this story to life!!!
'Magnetosphere' is written & directed by Nicola Rose. Teenage Maggie (Shayelin Martin) deals with growing up, her first love (Steven He), a quirky family (Patrick McKenna, Tania Webb, Zooey Schneider), and moving to a new town - all while discovering she has synesthesia: a condition that causes her to see sounds, hear colors, and more.

Nicola Rose grew up in the United States and later lived in France, receiving her bachelor's degree from Columbia University and her master's degree from the Université Paris III Sorbonne-Nouvelle. Bilingual in English and French, she began making films in 2015 and made her first feature, "Goodbye, Petrushka," in 2021. The film was released in 2022 following a world premiere at Dances With Films in Los Angeles. It won several awards for Best Feature and Best Comedy on the indie festival circuit in 2022. She will direct her second feature in summer 2023. She lives in New York City.
