Our Festival coverage continues with a brand new @EchoChamberFP episode!!!
We're now taking a look at Irish Film Festival London's closing film, thanks again to Sophie Toumazis & Marcello Aisoni It's in part a poetic exploration of past reflection, and also a pondering on art, what makes it worthy of preservation and how it connects us to moments of our lives! ALSO, we get to sit down with the director and take a journey into his transition from documentary to narrative film, and the interesting approach he used!!!
'The Swallow' is the narrative feature directorial debut from Tadhg O’Sullivan, which he also wrote. In a small house, on the Irish coast, a woman (Brenda Fricker) writes a letter to an unknown correspondent. She ponders the evanescence of memory and art. Her home brims with traces of life—faded photographs, scattered artworks, some unfinished. All is shrouded by the constant murmur of the sea: that vast canvas of everything that was and will be.
