In ‘Part One’ we go back to 87, so we’d be ready for this week’s long in the mixing sequel. Bringing the lime & coconut were Alcon Entertainment, Di Novi Pictures, Fortis Films, Blossom Films, Warner Bros. Pictures. We then hit the horror highway. First there’s an exploration of love & relationships expertly handled via Cat People Films, Rhombus Media, XYZ Films, Elevation Pictures, Shudder. We then bring life or something into the world, thanks to Pumpkin Patch Productions, IFC Films & Shudder. AND, also in the cinemas is a new imagining of a beloved game (and somewhat film) franchise (we look at the 2002 joint as well)) utilising a medical delivery in a vastly superior and horrifying way from Columbia Pictures, Constantin Film, Davis Films, Subconscious, Vertigo Entertainment, PlayStation Productions, Sony Pictures Releasing!!!
'Practical Magic' is directed by Griffin Dunne, and written by Akiva Goldsman, Robin Swicord & Adam Brooks, based on the 1995 book by Alice Hoffman's. In a small, contemporary New England town, for two sisters (Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman) from a family (Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest, Caprice Benedetti, Caralyn Kozlowski) of witches, falling in love is the trickiest spell of all. They struggle to use their gift for magically guiding fate to overcome their family curse: The men they fall in love with are doomed to an untimely death!
'Practical Magic 2' is directed by Susanne Bier, and written by Akiva Goldsman, Georgia Pritchett & Kelly Marcel, based on Alice Hoffman's 2021 sequel 'The Book of Magic’. The Owens sisters (Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman) must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family (Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest, Maisie Williams, Joey King) once and for all.
'Honey Bunch' is written & directed by Madeleine Sims-Fewer & Dusty Mancinelli. When Diana (Grace Glowicki) wakes from a coma with fragmented memories, she and her husband (Ben Petrie) seek experimental treatments at a remote facility. As the procedures intensify, their marriage is put to the test and Diana begins to question her husband’s true motives.
'Goody Goody' is written & directed by Raymond Creamer. A home birth (Colleen Foy, Colby Hollman, Zoe Renee, Samantha Robinson) turns terribly wrong when complications arise during a raging blizzard.
'Resident Evil (2002)' is written & directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. Loosely based on the popular video game series by Capcom. Amnesiac heroine Alice (Milla Jovovich) and a band of Umbrella Corporation commandos (Colin Salmon, Michelle Rodriguez, Liz May Brice, Martin Crewes, Pasquale Aleardi) as they attempt to contain the outbreak of the T-virus at a secret underground facility.
'Resident Evil (2026)' is directed by Zach Cregger, who co-wrote with Shay Hatten. Based on, and inspired by Capcom's popular video game series. Medical courier Bryan (Austin Abrams) unwittingly finds himself fighting for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.
