Apple TV's decided to step into the 'spy game' with their adaptation of Ni series 'Slow Horses'. Armed with a stellar cast, director (James Hawes) writing crew (Will Smith, Morwenna Banks, Mark Denton, Jonny Stockwood) AND a theme song written & performed by Mick Jagger...this could be a winner, right!?!
'Season One' is based on the first book 'Slow Hores', and is six episodes.
After a botched and publicly embarrassing training mission, British MI5 officer River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) is exiled to Slough House, an administrative purgatory for service rejects. Known as "Slow Horses", Cartwright and his colleagues (Saskia Reeves, Olivia Cooke, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Steven Waddington, Dustin Demri-Burns, Paul Higgins) must endure dull, paper pushing tasks and their miserable boss, Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), who expects them to quit out of boredom and frustration. Life in Slough House is defined by drudgery, until the Slow Horses become entangled in a dangerous gambit by "The Park" (the name by which the fictional headquarters of MI5 is known, derived from its location at Regent's Park).

We return to 'Slough House' for season two of Apple TV's hit series 'Slow Horses'.
Season two is a loose adaptation of the second book 'Dead Lions'. We have the same writing gang (Will Smith, Morwenna Banks, Mark Denton, Jonny Stockwood), but Jeremy Lovering takes over directing duties of this six episodes run!
Long-buried Cold War secrets emerge which threaten to bring carnage to the streets of London. When a liaison with Russian villains takes a fatal turn, our hapless heroes (Gary Oldman, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Dustin Demri-Burns, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan) must overcome their individual failings and raise their spy game in a race to prevent a catastrophic incident.

In season three, a romantic liaison in Istanbul threatens to expose a buried MI5 secret in London. When Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) and his team (Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Dustin Demri-Burns, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan) of misfits are dragged into the fight, they find themselves caught in a conspiracy that threatens the future not just of Slough House but of MI5 itself.
