Just two films from the 67th BFI London Film Festival (4th to 15th October 2023) as part of today's @EchoChamberFP coverage!!!!

We have a short film and a 'Gala Headliner' as we look at 'Day 4'!

'Hafekasi' is written & directed by Annelise Hickey. Mona (Izabelle Tokava), a 10 year old girl begins to realise she's different to her single, white mum (Laura Gordon) and family. Mother and daughter navigate identity and belonging in '90s Melbourne suburbia.

'Killers of the Flower Moon' is directed by Martin Scorsese which he co-wrote with Eric Roth, based on the 2017 book of the same name by David Grann. Set in 1920s Oklahoma, exploring this brutal moment of 20th-century American history through the lives of indigenous woman Mollie (Lily Gladstone) and her white husband Ernest (Leonardo DiCaprio) who willingly does the criminal bidding of his nefarious uncle (Robert De Niro).
