We are now into 'Day 5' of the BFI London Film Festival (4th to 15th October 2023)!

Today's @EchoChamberFP coverage check's out two films. One's a thriller, the other a romantic drama, and both subvert perception!!!

'Eileen' is directed by William Oldroyd and written by Luke Goebel & Ottessa Moshfegh. It's an adaptation of Moshfegh 's 2015 book of the same name. Eileen’s (Thomasin McKenzie) days pass with listless fantasies of sex and suicide, until Rebecca (Anne Hathaway) sets her world alight.

'All of Us Strangers' is written & directed by Andrew Haigh and based on Taichi Yamada' 1987 book 'Strangers'. One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal), which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up with his parents (Claire Foy & Jamie Bell), in his childhood home.
