Echo Chamber - BFI Flare 26 - Vol.1 (Body Of Our Own)

This year's 'BFI Flare' @EchoChamberFP coverage wasn't what we were hoping for to mark the 40th anniversary (a LOT of flaky creatives) BUT, we made it work!
HUGE thanks to Media House Global's Fagun Furia, who came through with a really interesting project. A documentary that pulled back the curtain on a community that never gets talked about. THEN, giving us the opportunity to sit down with a first time director, but experienced storyteller, to really get into what it took to gain trust and shine a light on these individuals and the legacy of their community!!!
'Body of Our Own' is the feature directorial debut from Lily Vetch & Rahemur Rahman, which they also wrote. Filmed over the course of seven years, this documentary shows the resilience and sisterhood of three Hijra women.
