The beauty of expansive, long-form conversation, is that it can really get under the skin of topics many just skate over, and demystify preconceived notions. So when Falco's Imani Charles came with the opportunity to speak with Maya Annik Bedward about her feature directorial debut, which was dealing with topics & notions not normally discussed, of course we were eager to get that done! And what an interesting, expansive confab was had. Maya was incredibly open about the whole process, giving her entire team their flowers and talking about Haiti & Vodou with so much care, and passion, it was clear she was truly meant to shine a light on these topics!
